Toggle allows free movement at connection to avoid binding and metal fatigue.

All stainless steel turnbuckles threads tend to gall and seize when even a little dirt gets in the threads.  We recommend lubricating the threads with an anti-seize compound found in most auto parts stores, to prevent thread damage so they can be reused or adjusted.
